If you like being able to make coffee at home that has a taste far superior to instant but is equally simple to whip up, then investing in the best pod coffee machine is the way to go. After all, pretty much all you do is insert the pod and leave the machine to it.
A pod coffee machine will deliver barista-style brews in the comfort of your own home, and not just espressos, either. Cappuccinos and other milk-containing drinks are also on the agenda, and some pod coffee machines let you create non-coffee drinks as well.
Pod coffee machines have a lot in their favour. They are easy to use and easy to clean, and of course they can deliver a delicious cup of coffee. But what coffee aficionados might not appreciate is that they can also pull off the same fancy tricks as espresso machines with the facility to froth milk a feature of some machines.

Had a Nespresso Citiz..kept getting blocked and the perforation mechanism failed..opted then for a Lavazza machine..nicer coffee too
As we all know the brits have a very «weird taste» the verdict of taste leads me absolutely to the fact to NOT buy the illy machine.
Lavazaa are the best! I have a Nespresso latissima touch and a Lavazza desea, and the coffee from the Lavazza is much richer and deeper. Beautiful!
Ily too bae 🤤
What about taste? I find the after taste is what puts me off. Is Lavazza brand any good?
If you love coffee, don’t ever buy a pod coffee machine! Buy a good coffee grinder and some good coffee beans — and brew the kind of coffee you like.
Well thats sorted, dolce gusto all day. Great Christmas present for my bro
Oh this channel is based on home ideas?! Oh that’s cool!
Listen to this!
I live in a shared house… But I’ve turned my bedroom into an apartment.
I’m planning on becoming a content creater for youtube.
So I’ve got this new sofa bed. And a large 120cm width sofa desk on wheels. The height and width of it are really expandable.
So I have the desk legs wider than my sofa so I can wheel the desk over the sofa.
There I can edit my videos and general pc tasks or play pc games on the sofa!
Or I can wheel the desk away…. Put my feet up and watch my tv I have in front.
Or I can use my corsair k63 lapboard on the sofa… Hook my laptop up to my massive tv… And game/edit on the sofa with a mouse and keyboard!
Or I can wheel the desk over my king size bed to have breakfast in bed…
…so essentially and the short story is… my bedroom is a transformer!
I see very varied opinions about which one is best. I don’t know whether to get the illy machine with a milk frother for lattes. Or to get a tassimo or nespresso machine. Illy seems like more of a foreign or asian norm… All of illy y3.2 videos on youtube are Asian. However tassimo and nespresso videos on youtube are all showcased by these «benidorm english geezer» looking dad’s lol
Not that that concludes anything, it’s just a weird observation on my part.
What my question is… DOES the illy espresso pods taste WAY better than it’s competitors? Or is it not worth the trade off… Saying that other pod machines can make hot chocolates… Frothed milk… And many more flavours and drinks…
Are espressos in the Illy machine that much nicer, that you’d sacrafice all those features.
Because although I love good quality… I’m not really happy about a one trick pony… Which anyone could get sick off after a while.
Decided to opt for the Tassimo, in love with it!
I dont think this is a good demonstration, How can you try a nespresso machine but not use nespresso branded pods? That defeats the whole purpose, Nespresso is all about the coffee , not the machine. Please do not use LOR pods and use nespresso pods instead. Also there are much cheaper nespresso machines, Please re-do the video without bias
There are other things to consider like the choice and availability of compatible pods, and at the end of the day taste is down to the individual. The taste test should also have been a blind test .
How many coffees can i get for 1 pod?
Good review but slightly misleading. Why you have that expensive Nespresso machine tested? You can buy a machine for half that price easily. There are out on market much cheaper ones and simpler in use. Cofee will taste the same anyway, no matter if you use cheap or expensive. I own Dolce Gusto «Mini Me» and Nespresso «U». I can tell Nespresso is much better than Dolce, at least when I have tested original coffees: Dolce gusto Cafe au lait, Cappuccino, Americano and some random brands Cappucion and Latte machiato, and Pellini Cremoso Arabica, which was the best. So original Nespresos are really, really good, I bought almost all kind they had on stock available. Substitutes rather poor (Balmio was the worst, Rene and Kimbo was better), but situation with Dolce is the opposite: no single one from originals was good enough for me, it was like a poor joke. What is more , Cafe au lait is an instant coffee. You buy a machine for coffee to make it with a pressure and you get pods that you would not need a machine for that since they are an instant ones!! Ridiculous. I think I let my kids do a Nesquick in Dolce gusto, for coffee I’ll use Nespresso.
I cannot tell any words about other machines and coffeees, but I would agree that anything is better than Dolce Gusto, even a coffee that you would make in a mug from a spoon of coffee
I really like the Dolce Gusto so far (from the other machines I’ve tried only Nespresso and Keurig tho) it is quick to use and there are a ton of capsules variety…I have been using it for years and at least here in Mexico there are very nice deals often, example sometimes DG gives you a free machine when you buy like 8-10 boxes, they also implemented a recycling program.
You missed the popular tassimo brand.
How about the nespresso machine 🧐
No no no No no no no no
I’m considering a Nescafe Dolce Gusto or a Tassimo one
I have the Dolce Gusto, very practical and it has a lot of pod options.
